Google on Tuesday announced it was opening up Google Talk to all other instant messaging networks that utilize the XMPP protocol, developed for Jabber.

也就是說，Google Talk 開啟了跟其他如 Earthlink, Gizmo Project, Tiscali, Netease, Chikka, MediaRing 等的使用者互通的大門了，只要各方能談好即可

在 OpenVanilla 的官方 Wiki 頁面上 看到了 OpenVanilla 0.7.2-beta for OS X 發佈的消息

0.7.2版的改變
新增一套「詞彙管理功能」，不論您使用何種輸入法均能使用。這套工具可以節省重覆性的文字輸入，對翻譯及專業文字寫作應有能發揮之處。
軟體穩定性提高，泛用輸入法產生器模組的載入速度加快。
OpenVanilla於「國際設定」的「輸入法選單」中，改列為「Unicode語系」的輸入法。如此在諸於Microsoft Word等會依語系改變字型的軟體，就不會有輸入非繁體中文文字時，字型遭任意切換的情況。
OpenVanilla的「香草」icon可以換成使用者自訂的圖案。
外掛模組及資料表格（泛用輸入法產生器及反查模組的表格），可以放在自己家目錄下麵的指定位置，不再需要放在系統資料夾裡了。
標準安裝套件增加簡體漢語拼音及簡體五筆字型兩套輸入法。
「延伸安裝套件」提供多種輸入法及文字處理工具，包括各種主要倉頡版本、全字集輸入法資料表格、各種可自訂的icon、Unicode輸入法及反查模組、英文智慧引號模組等等。
修正了在使用輸入法時，外接鍵盤的數字鍵區無法使用的問題。

如果是從舊版本升級上來的，也請注意去看一下該 Wiki 文件，因為我當時自己升級時就有遇到不少的問題

基本上，我覺得那種比較並不客觀，一點意義都沒有
誰知道有沒有對右邊那台動了什麼手腳
再說，即使同一台 iMac，你每次去重開機的開機速度都不一樣了，何況兩台再這樣比
例如我的 Mac mini 有時開機可以不用一分鐘就開玩了，有時(如剛升級完 10.4.4 後)開機卻要開個3、5分鐘以上的
所以，那種影片，看看就好…:)

Changes in this release:

This is a bug fix release. Selected fixes were made in the Xcode IDE, cctools, debugger, compiler. A couple fixes to note are:

Xcode: When changing the main project-wide SDK using the popup in the project inspector, Xcode will no longer automatically set MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET for that SDK in the project’s build settings (removing any previous value); rather, the SDK-defaulted value of MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET will be used explicitly when building, and can be overridden at the project or target levels, as desired.
Carbon Developer Tools: Endianness problems with DeRez and bitfields, and Rez with the type and creator parameters, have been fixed.
The 10.4u SDK has been updated for development with Mac OS 10.4.4.
CHUD has been updated to version 4.3.0.
